My name is Menbere Assefa. I was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I came to the United States at the age of 8. I was raised in Washington, DC. My major is International Relations and Affairs and minor in Spanish. I am fluent in Amharic and English. I love to listen to all types of music but mainly R&B. My favorite artists are Mary J. Blige and T.I. I am excited to be back in school and looking forward to meeting new people. Also, I love to travel and learn about different cultures. After graduating college, I would like to work with the United Nations.

One of my favorite singers is Gigi, who I believe is Ethiopian. I love music from different countries. I think that you are very smart to do International Business combined with your language background. I want to learn Spanish. I know enough to get around, but definitely not fluent. In my next career I want to do humanitarian work and speak Spanish. I would also like to know French. I think I have a T.I. song on my WRTC CD
